Our Story
Pastor Suresh was born and raised in a Hindu family deeply rooted in traditional and orthodox beliefs. From his earliest years, life was marked not by the carefree joys of childhood, but by relentless physical suffering. Ongoing health complications prevented him from eating many kinds of food, and his days became consumed by hospital visits, medications, and the constant uncertainty of living with illness. As his physical condition worsened, so too did the unseen battle within. Years of pain gradually gave way to overwhelming anxiety, deep depression, and a heart weighed down by hopelessness.
A Desperate Search for God
Desperate for healing and longing for answers, he embarked on a relentless search for God. Day after day, he journeyed from temples to mosques, from churches to countless places of worship, hoping that somewhere, someone could offer the healing his body desperately needed and the peace his soul longed to find. Every prayer, every journey, and every search seemed to end in silence. The more he searched, the more distant hope appeared to become. His disappointment eventually convinced him that perhaps there was no God at all.
As darkness consumed his heart, he reached a point where life no longer seemed worth living. Believing that he had become nothing more than a burden to his parents, his brothers, and his sister, he resolved to end his life.
Yet even in his deepest despair, when he felt abandoned by the world and forgotten by heaven, Heaven had not forgotten him.
The Darkest Night
Then came the darkest night of his life.
Alone in his room, broken beyond words, tears streamed down his face as he cried from the depths of his soul. Every hope he had once held had faded. Every answer he had sought seemed forever beyond his reach. As he wept in utter hopelessness, wondering if anyone was listening…
Heaven answered.
He heard a voice unlike anything he had ever experienced—a voice filled with unmistakable authority, as powerful as thunder, yet overflowing with indescribable love. The voice declared:
“Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you.”Isaiah 49:15
Those words did more than reach his ears—they pierced the deepest places of his soul. Though he could not explain them, they carried an authority unlike anything he had ever known. For the first time in years, despair no longer had the final word. A small spark of hope had begun to shine where only darkness had existed before.
While He Was Searching, God Was Searching for Him
He had never read the Bible. He did not know these words were found in Scripture, nor had he ever heard this verse before. Having grown up teaching the Ramayana and the Mahabharata in temples, he could not comprehend where these words had come from or why they echoed so deeply within him. Yet over the days that followed, the very same Scripture continued to resound in his heart again and again, as though God Himself was gently pursuing him with relentless love. While he was searching, God had already begun searching for him.
Unable to understand what he was experiencing, he shared everything with a close friend who happened to be a Christian. Recognizing the unmistakable hand of God, his friend lovingly explained that Jesus Christ was calling him to Himself and invited him to attend a local church the following week.
The First Encounter with Jesus Christ
With uncertainty in his heart—and more questions than answers—he stepped through the doors of the church for the very first time. Quietly, almost hesitantly, he took a seat at the very back, expecting nothing more than another place of worship.
But God had arranged that meeting long before he ever arrived.
As the service began, the pastor opened the Word of God and, in what could only be described as God's divine orchestration, began preaching from the very same passage that had been spoken into Pastor Suresh's life only days before:
Isaiah 49:15.
In that sacred moment, time itself seemed to stand still.
Every question that had tormented his mind found its answer.
Every doubt dissolved.
Every wall around his heart came crashing down.
Tears replaced years of hopelessness as he realized that the God he had spent years searching for had, in reality, been searching for him all along. This was no coincidence. This was the living God reaching into the darkest chapter of his life, calling him by name, surrounding him with His unfailing love, and revealing Himself in a way that only He could.
Surrender and New Life
Overwhelmed by the immeasurable love of Christ and the undeniable reality of His presence, Pastor Suresh surrendered his life completely to Jesus Christ, accepting Him as his Lord and Savior. In obedience to God's Word, he publicly confessed his faith through water baptism. From that very moment, the sickness and torment that had bound him for years were broken, and the Lord filled his heart with a peace that surpasses all understanding—a peace the world could never give and could never take away.
The man who had once desired to die had now discovered the Author of Life.
What medicine could never accomplish, what years of searching could never uncover, and what religion could never satisfy, Jesus Christ accomplished in a single moment of surrender.
From that day forward, there was no turning back.
The Cost of Following Christ
His decision to follow Christ, however, came at a tremendous cost.
When his family learned that he had accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, they rejected him and asked him to leave his home. Everything familiar was suddenly taken away. Yet although he lost the comfort of home, he gained something infinitely greater: the assurance that he belonged to Christ forever.
Choosing obedience over acceptance, faith over fear, and Christ above all else, he stepped out with nothing but complete trust in the One who had called him. Like the disciples who left everything to follow Jesus, he surrendered his future entirely into God's hands, confident that the Lord who had rescued him from darkness would also lead him into His divine purpose.
And the Lord proved Himself faithful.
A Divine Calling to Ministry
According to the calling and guidance of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Suresh devoted his entire life to the service of God's Kingdom. Step by step, season after season, the Lord directed his path, opened doors no man could shut, and prepared him for the work He had ordained long before.
The young man who had once believed his life had no purpose was now carrying the hope of Christ to countless others. The one who had once searched for someone to save him had now been called to proclaim the Savior to the nations.
In time, he was ordained as a pastor in the Assemblies of God Church, where the Lord began to use him mightily in preaching the Gospel with boldness, shepherding His people with compassion, and ministering under the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Through the name of Jesus Christ, countless individuals and thousands of families have witnessed healing, restoration, freedom from bondage, deliverance, reconciliation, and transformed lives. Broken hearts have been restored, captives have found liberty, and many have come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
A Living Testimony
The same God who spoke hope into a broken young man's life continues to write testimonies through the lives of those He touches today.
Every chapter of Pastor Suresh's journey stands as a living testimony that God's grace is greater than our deepest pain, His love reaches further than our darkest valleys, and His plans are always greater than our greatest fears. The God who found him when he had lost all hope has remained faithful through every season, every trial, and every step of the journey.
Marriage & Family — A Partnership in God's Calling
Then, in the year 2004, according to God's perfect will and unfailing purpose, the Lord brought Pastor Suresh into the sacred covenant of marriage with Pastor Kavitha, the life partner whom He had lovingly chosen and prepared. United by God's calling and sustained by His grace, they became co-laborers in His vineyard, serving side by side with one heart, one vision, and one unwavering passion: to proclaim the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations.
Today, they are blessed with two daughters, and together as a family they continue to joyfully serve the Lord, witnessing His faithfulness from generation to generation.
Their lives remain devoted to advancing God's Kingdom, proclaiming His truth without compromise, and pointing countless souls to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Our Continuing Journey
The journey that began with pain became a testimony of grace.
The life that once seemed destined for despair became a living witness to the redeeming power of Jesus Christ.
Today, Pastor Suresh continues to proclaim the very Savior who first sought him in his darkest hour, praying that others, too, would discover the unfailing love of the One who never stops pursuing His children.
